What a fantastic match, Rockefeller. It came down to the last throw of the last round. If you don't mind me saying it, was your fourth round whitewash that gave me the clue I needed. I felt sure that scissors would be the difference, and came up with my exclusionary tactic. As did you. Perhaps I held my nerve a little longer than you but I must admit it was one of the hardest calls I've had to make. You have certainly come of age in this tournament and I would dare any one to take you lightly again. As an interesting aside, I note that you and I sit adjacent to each other in the RPSgame roll of honour, myself just a few hundreths of a percent above you. A fair reflection, I'd say, of this game. Commiserations if you see your glass half empty or congratulations if you see it half full.

GREAT match!
As founder of this tournament, I couldn't be happier with the results thus far (maybe a bit happier if I were in the finals). But I have really enjoyed the "Masters."
You played a masterful match CC. We were both so close. The tension was not unlike the end of the Karate Kid, right before Ralph Machio did the crane kick.
I would like to personally thank the participants, as well as Brad "on task and on time" Fox. He's made the difference in this event with his exceptional referee and organizational skills.
Now it's time for the Big Event.
Custardchuk Vs. Jef
Best of luck boys,
Rockefeller

Brad "on task and on time" Fox. Well, let's not gush about Brad's performance. 26% of my throws were lost in "transit". Brad was "unavailable" on at least three occasions for up to 2 weeks. The punters want to see the players and not the officials. Brad would do well to remember this when he is home. regards custardchuk

Rock, It's obvious the glass is half empty. You are buttering up the ref and you gave me not a red cent. Hey, I know how you feel. It happened to me in 1993 and 2004. All I can say is, "Don't get snakey about it! It does happen! Stick you're finger down you're neck to hold back the retch and then take it on the chin if you have to.

26% of my throws were lost in "transit". Brad was "unavailable" on at least three occasions for up to 2 weeks. Let's not succumb to hyperbole now, when the facts would suggest a very different point of view; Of your 118 throws submitted to date which are "in play" only seven are in any kind of dispute as to whether or not they were sent - which would be, at most, 5.9%. Significantly less if one considered the total throws submitted, not just those which made it into play. Given the number of other demonstrable instances where the RPSOZ mail system was acknowledged to be at fault, and the number of throws lost "in transit" in matches not involving players whose names start with "c" (nil) you would forgive me for suggesting that your estimate of throws misplaced by the on-line tournament processing division is likely inflated. As to accessibility, with the exception of 10 days over Christmas (where other players throws were received and processed regardless) the throw reception centre has been open 24/7. For a player of such esteem who acknowledges that "the punters want to see the players, not the officials" I would respectfully suggest you seem to be inordinately concerned with the mechanics of game play although clearly your strategic game has not suffered for it. I'm sure the timely and skilled resolution of what promises to be a thrilling finals match between two skilled competitors will render all the above (and below) academic footnotes to an otherwise very entertaining tournament.

Euphoria is a funny thing but it is no excuse to deride opponents or officials. I retract my two previous posts and I apologise, unreservedly, for my petulant outburst.

custardchuk No worries CC.
I was a bit surprised to find that my glass appeared half empty. I thought my refering to you as the karate kid, a hero who fights to the bitter end and wins, would be enough to show you I was happy for you.
As to buttering up the ref... To what end? Why bother, I'm not in the finals. I was simply congratulating a job well done. And thanking the organizer of this event. Sure I came up with the idea for the "Masters", but I did none of the work. So, I was giving credit where it is certainly due.
Best of luck in the finals,
Rockefeller

custardchuk No apology required whatsoever 'chuck, given our frequent dealings in the past absolutely no malice was inferred by your post whatsoever.
Good throws in the finals.
