New players use of all throws

I've been playing against a number of new players and I've found that they often start by using R-S-P (Deneument), P-S-R (Crescendo), or P-R-S. Do you think this is because they subconceously think they have to use all three throws? I've also noticed scissors usually follows rock, is this because it's seen as the second 'best weapon'?
