rps variation strategy
« on: May 07, 2008, 09:45:33 PM »

Do the same strategies of regular rps apply in other three choice rps games(such as devil-fire-wolf, bridge-stream-boulder, moon-fish ocean, etc)? Do some new strategies or some new gambits apply?

That's a good question. I think the same gambits can be played but I think one would have to reconsider player profiling. For instance, we know that a rock-heavy player is likely to be an arrogant jock, but with a variation such as moon, fish, ocean, these kind of profiles would have to be re-evaluated. Perhaps a more serene person would play ocean?

Also, the names of the gambits would have to be changed. Might be a nice group project for us.

For Moon-Fish-Ocean, how about the following equivalents to the Great Eight gambits of normal RPS:

Moon-Moon-Moon = Jupiter
Moon-Fish-Ocean = Life
Ocean-Fish-Moon = Satori (Enlightenment)
Fish-Fish-Fish = a School
Ocean-Ocean-Ocean = Deep Sea
Moon-Ocean-Ocean = High Tide
Ocean-Fish-Ocean = Shark Attack
Ocean-Fish-Fish = Coral Reef

Awesome gambits! High tide is my favourite, very clever.

Great job, martin. Now how about a harder one: devil fire wolf(wolf bites devil breathes fire burns wolf).
