Hi all, I'm a new player in the 'competition' RPS world, my name is Gorramscott. I have, however, studied advanced plays, gambits, chain gambits, many of Master Rosh's posts and don't consider myself a complete and utter newbie. I hail from the UK by the way, just so you can get all those limey jokes out of the way; as hilarious and clever as they are. anyhoo, glad to be aboard, hope I make some friends here.

As an expat Brit myself it's good to see a few more poms on here. Welcome to the Bullboard, gorramscott! I have... studied... many of Master Rosh's posts Just remember the old RPS saying, "stay upwind from Rosh's ramblings and 'chuk's rumblings."

Welcome gorramscott, "stay upwind from Rosh's ramblings and 'chuk's rumblings." And steer clear of Burley on online RPS. Another Pommy, eh? There seems to be a plethora of them lately. It is proof of the power of Bob Cooper's WRPSS International title to re-ignite Rock, Paper, Scissors interest in the UK. Please allow me time to get my hilarious and clever limey jokes out of the way. I am having a difficult morning and it is testing my sense of humour. regards custardchuk

When I was about 4 I guess. I stumbled across this site whilst looking for dice games. Odd that isn't it? It's just very crazy that there are tournys in RPS. I like crazy.

That makes two(probably many more than that) of us. And this seems like the thread to discuss trade advanced methods. Here is one for you(you can either respond with another advanced technique (cooperate) or not (defect)). The technique is: rice cake does not sell life insurance to the mountain if you are using two primes show rock on the first prime, paper on the second, and paper on the shoot as they will expect scissors(this is emphasized by saying "rock paper scissors").

Welcome, gorramscott! Good to have you on board. I remember my first time here. It probably doesn't seem that long ago to many of the older members, but to me it seems simply lifetimes away. Chances are you'll get a bit of a grilling from me. I like testing you younglings. It's all for your own benefit. Cheers, Franklint

*whispers* Yeah, that would be srn. And no worries. I'll also take this chance to ask whether "General Discussion" includes general, non-RPS related stuff, or just general RPS talk. Can anyone answer this? Cheers, Franklint

Franklint if you've got something on your mind and it's not too off-base, it's probably fine to discuss. I suppose in a general sense you could claim that RPS is merely an extension of your life, hence a wide variety of topics could be broached.

General discussion is usually general rps stuff, but some people post stuff completely irrelevant to rps(this thread is not irrelevant though). I see you chose "defect".
Welcome, seeker

Huh.
That's weird this should come up, as lately I've seen some folks putting up a bunch of rubbish disguised as posts about RPS.

this seems like the thread to discuss trade advanced methods. Here is one for you(you can either respond with another advanced technique (cooperate) or not (defect)). srn347, if you think that if you are using two primes show rock on the first prime, paper on the second, and paper on the shoot is an "advanced method", when the official tournament rules for RPS state: 3.2 The fist must remain in the closed position until the delivery of the final prime. The fist is the only acceptable hand position during the prime then you appear to have confused the word 'advanced' with the word 'foolish'.

Oh, you passed the test. Congratulations. The real advanced technique is: say "I'm onto your pattern" then choose what beats their last throw. They repeat their last throw to try to throw you off and/or prove you wrong.
