I'm a big anime fan and I was thinking that an RPS anime/manga would be really cool. However, I don't have the materials and facilities to draw up any comics and certainly not the equipment to make an anime. So instead I have drafted the first 'episode' of what will hopefully be a series of RPS stories and was wondering if this type of thing would interest anyone.

Basically the plot is as follows:

Alex is a lazy 19 year old layabout who is being thrown out into the big wide world by his sensei along with many other students to walk the road to the RPS championship which takes place in a year. He and his friend, Heat, head off around the fictional country of Ariel battling street opponents in order to rack up their scores (shown on a digital display on their belts) and getting promoted (there are 5 stages of promotion, the first being novice and last being immortal).
The Championship is a little different to normal RPS games as each player wears a vest which gives an electric shock when they lose. Players can become very injured in the championship.

If anyone is interested I will post the 'pilot' up on the forum.

Substitute 'chuk' for Alex, '17' for 19, 'master'' for friend, 'Oz' for Ariel and 'big stick' for vest which gives an electric shock, and you could make a documentary.

Sounds like a cross between Kaiji and Balls of Fury.  While Kaiji does have a whole series arc about playing RPS, I wouldn't classify it as a true "RPS" anime.  It would be pretty interesting to see how this project develops.

Kaiji not only has an rps arc, but also an e-card arc. E-card has great impact and significance on the road to rps mastery. Though it isn't completely about rps I'll admit.

Welcome, seekers
