Greetings from week 21 of my WRPS mandated "forced vacation/unemployment". Since beach lounging has got old for an old workhorse like me, I've taken to tidying up around the officiary offices... in the process I've discovered a very odd item I'm hoping "olde tyme" bullboarders might help me with.

I have vague recollections of rumours of a hidden cache of wealth at the WRPS offices which were jokingly dubbed "the Vaults of Master Roshambollah". I honestly don't recall if this was because they were supposed to originate with Rosh, or if he was the one trying to track them down.

Anyhow, I was cleaning up some files in one of the seldom used "barracks" in the officiary wing (where we used to let visiting officials stay, back when the referees calling sanctioned events had to come from territories outside of the one holding the event).. and I came across a bizarre collection of odd silver and gold dubloons stacked on a dusty dresser. There are three or four large two-tone coins, four or so smaller gold-coloured ones and a dozen-odd small silver pieces of varying sizes. There doesn't seem to be any identifying markings - at least visible to my layman's eye.

As tempting as it would be to just pocket them all and head off to the nearest Numismatist / Pawn broker... I decided I should at least try to recall what the details where about that particular fortune, whether or not these could be related, and if they were of any value as RPS artifacts.

Does anyone remember any details about this fortune?

That is likely Rosh's old coin tossing practice gear. I seem to remember that he was a big Tosser before he got into RPS.

If, indeed, these belong to Roshambollah, I might suggest that he use them to reimburse the World RPS Society.  Some of us remember him robbing the findraising account prior to his absurd quest for the Hagi Naktrah not too many years ago.

silver and gold dubloons

Or to give them their official Canadian name, 'dubloonies'.

So, you found the "Vaults of Master Roshambollah," eh?  Let me know if you find my dignity, self-respect, morals, ethics, values and reputation among the lot.

Unless, of course, "vaults" was a typo, and you really meant the "Faults of Master Roshambollah," of which there are many.

Rosh,

I have what remains of your dignity. You left it behind at Lizards Bar and Grill at the end of our boat trip.
I can't actually remember seeing your morals, ethics and values. Maybe they were before my time.
For your self respect, I'd look in your back pocket. That's where I usually find my "missing" credit card.
And for your reputation I'd just ask around. I'm sure someone will know.

Since you bring it up, I have been wondering what you have been doing to justify your regular paycheck for the last couple of years. It seems to me we are running a World Sabbatical Society (WSS) that occasionally dabbles in Rock Paper Scissors as a sideline.

Custardchuk,

Based on what I know of you, I'm sure your comment was intended to mean something, as difficult as it may be for me to discern.  I have been working from the first floor men's room without any kind of break, vacation, or leave of absence.  I'll send you copies of my time cards, if you like.

Filling out time sheets does not, in itself, constitute work.
Rockefeller's, Rosh's, Jef's, Jame's, Rose's, Brad's and your time cards seem to be the only thing coming out of Trinity Square.
I know Jef is fully occupied cutting and pasting legends heads but at least that keeps out of the way. It's not like he is costing much.
But the rest of you seem to have shut up shop. We have complaints about endorsement, last I knew memberships were closed, and I haven't seen anything from Artistic Affairs or the Media Brigade for months.

I'm sure you all like your jobs and the paychecks. Now if you could just get rid of all those customers.......

Custardchuk, I don't appreciate the insinuations.  Actually, those weren't insinuations.  They were much more forthright than that.

I am currently working on several rock garden designs that should see construction in 2006 and about forty pamphlets that the Media Brigade high command keeps saying it needs yesterday.  I have been keeping plenty busy, sir.

You have been locked away. It's 2007 already, mate. I'll be asking that you get an office with a window.
And I think you should probably try and take a little break.

Name one fault of master roshambollah(yourself) other than saying you have many faults. Ironically enough, if they meant faults not vaults, that was a fault.

Welcome, seekers
