TGOTT vs me

http://apps.facebook.com/redbullroshambull/home/expert_match.php?mid=4443045

No help to me here as I blew this one, so now I'm just waiting for Max to answer the last challenge.  Record for me is 8 -3, so this is going to be some tight competition down to the last matches.  Max needs to keep his game strong as I only have one more chance to earn a point, and that's vs him.  Interesting...

just inserted link of my challenge to james in earlier post.

here it is again.
max 2 rSpR v James 1 Ppps
http://apps.facebook.com/redbullroshambull/home/expert_match.php?mid=4442913

Cohrs has once again pulled into the lead, but with Max nipping at his heels.  This is what every tournament organizer wants to see:  a former apprentice vs a dude who slept on my couch once.

If thats me Rosh I am still gleaning!!!! This tourney is a good example !!

Still in learning

Truly stunning.

My former apprentice Max (for journeyman now he truly is) has won five of the five matches he initiated.  He has also won three of the four matches initiated against him.  Bully on, Max.

Max and Cohrs are now in a dead heat.  There are only six matches remaining in the 2009 MotBBFORPTS, and all most of them count.

8 pts - Cohrs, Max
5 pts - chuk, James
4 pts - Franklint
3 pts - Jef
2 pts - sheepshagger

With his loss to Max, James is now also out of contention.

Remaining matches, sorted by challenger:

Cohrs vs Max
Chuk vs James and Max
James vs Will (moot)
Jef vs Burley (moot)
Max vs Chuk

Looking at this list, chuk is now also out of contention.  If chuk wins his remaining three matches (vs James and Max as challenger, and vs Max as the challenged) he will total eight points.  Cohrs and Max are already at eight points, and they have one remaining match against each other (Cohrs having no other remaining match.) Therefore, one of them will end up with nine points, and the MotBBFORPS crown (unless Max wins against chuk and Cohrs, and ends up with ten points.)

Cohrs vs Max in the finals.  Couldn't have asked for better.

Was my e-mail requesting entry into this tournament not received?

I did get a reply stating that the start date had been postponed until March 18th.

Curious.

Max kicked my ass again, but then again he kicked everyone's ass in this tourney.  Amazing feat and I'm definitely proud to call him the 2009 MOTBB champion.  Well done!!

My congratulations as well to my former apprentice, current journeyman, and 2009 Masters of the Bull Board Champion, Maxamillion!  Max, you have done your former teacher proud.  You are now officially licensed (but not obligated) to use the "2009 Masters of the Bull Board Champion" designation in your sig file.  Max won every challenge he initiated, disproving my maxim: "the best way to lose a fight is to start one."  Let this be a lesson for you, Max.  When you begin your professional career in REAL RPS, always initiate the match.

Good on Cohrs for a super-strong second place showing, as well as for realizing that Max had won and saving me the trouble of announcing the victor.

The 2009 MotBB tournament was different in many ways.  The tourney took place in a week instead of over several months, and was hallmarked by sound strategy, honorable play, and by honest, accurate and timely self-reporting.  There was no squabbling, no bickering, and no scandal.

In other words, the 2009 MotBB was a complete failure.  I hereby resign as Tournament Coordinator.  I bequeath the responsibility to Max, as winner of the tourney.  If he doesn't want it, maybe he can find somebody who does.  As for me, I'm going to stare at the summit of Mount Roshambo for, like, the next 72 hours.  Maybe that'll fix what's wrong with me.

Don't cruel yourself,Rosh.

Sure it was a complete failure but it proved, (well, max proved) that his tournament was achievable.
And it cleared up any doubts anyone had about Burley.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't go to the mountain though.

custardchuk

We all have the 1 bad tournament Rosh(Leg 3 in the World Series is the example) no need to hang up your hat and go all cold turkey, just means you have to go all out next contest!!!. Was the same on another website where I ran a Knockout championship, Had 2 cups run smoothly, then the third collapsed in the early rounds, only for the next contest to break the entrants record with 217 entries.

Thanks for letting me in the contest as well, Had fun trying my luck out and gaining some experiance from the main throwers.Might help me in the next leg.

before I forget as well, I think I take the Bronze after beating Will 2-1

TGOTT, the MOTBB tourney is always full of scheming, tricks, and all kinds of mayhem.  I'm pretty sure Rosh is just saying this tournament ran way too smoothly, so it just didn't have the same spark as the old ones.  Of course, C. Urbanus's comment about his e-mail might be the exact kind of controversy worth fighting for.  I mean, if he was included, who knows what the outcome might be.

thanks everyone for this unforgetable & enjoyable experience.

I am still in shock & have been left virtually speachless.

I personally think it was a perfectly run tournament. potential problems resolved sensitivly & sensibly. so smooth & fast I hope to emulate it one day.

Curbanus did provide the potential for controversy in the tradition of the MotBB.

I would be willing to let him challenge me for hte title so he dose not feel left out.

Your call carbanus?
