Max,

Click "Profile" on the blue menu bar running horizontally across the top of the Bull Board.

In the next screen there will be a blue box on the left titled "Modify Profile."  In this box, click "Forum Profile Information."  You can enter your title as champion in "Personal Text."

Indeed, my friend. Looking at the Competition board (http://www.worldrps.com/bullboard/index.php?board=9.0), you will see any number of nomination and voting threads concerning the running of this year's MotBB, the most current of which is here (http://www.worldrps.com/bullboard/index.php?topic=2999.15).

Also note that, in the past, a post count minimum has been in place to determine the suitability of Bullboard members to enter the tournament. Unless we have another Masters and Neophytes of the Bullboard tournament, you may need to make some more posts to ensure your place.

Cheers,
Franklint

However, in years past, artificially inflating one's post count has never been a sure-fire way of ensuring one's entrance into the MotBB.  Most tournament directors, myself included, tend to use a bevy of subjective criteria for inclusion as a competitor.  Otherwise, spambots and SMS would have the run of the tourney.  I think the elusive quality is that the competitor in question has made some sort of positive impact on the Board as a whole, not just run up a bunch of pointless posts.  I would point out as well that there is a very good chance that this year's tourney will not be held via roshambull.  I'm holding up starting anything definite until I can confirm or deny rumors of an impending software upgrade that would leave the board out of order for a period of time.

Not to be lost in all the above, a hearty Welcome, Seeker... to Mr Bussineau for finally joining us at the true wellspring of modern RPS; the fabled source of all wisdom and larceny, of which online RPS is but the smallest fraction...of which even live competitive RPS is but a tiny portion.  Welcome, to the World RPS Society Bull Board.

Cool, I understand if I'm not eligible to enter the tournament.  I'm just have a strong drive for competition and I like the variety of tournament styles that are in RPS.

I'll do my best to make good contributions to the bullboard and I appreciate the welcome  Cheesy

Don't listen to him.
There is not a tournament you can't play in.
I've dragged plenty of people into the big league.
I'm assuming that you are a bloke so some of the rules don't apply. I suggest you just offer up cash. it's the quickest way.
(I've seen a broke Tasmanian kid make it to the big league through submissive groveling but I don't recommend it. It stays with you.)

I wasn't sure where a better place was to post this, but I figured since this thread has the latest attention of competition I'd post it here.

Cool if anyone already knows this, but there's a website called bracketmaker.com that's free to sign-up for.  I've used it to organize various competition, usually those involving fantasy sports.  It won't be relevant in this tournament based on it's style of play, but if you ever need an easy way to manage and present tournament results by rounds for other tourneys this may be helpful.

You can also put detailed notes into a Match Description section which could be used to post the match results such as RrpS vs. sPpp

Just a thought and a small attempt to make some contribution.

Thanks, Tom! Being involved in the sport of RPS means that one thinks about things like "powers of two" and "bye distribution" a lot more than most folks. I was not familiar with the site you mention, but will definitely check into it.
