Imagine my surprise when I woke up last week in Darwin, opened a beer, switched on the television and saw Doug and Graham Walker throwing down as a lead in to a story about chance.
Like, what have these guys ever done to deserve it?

Seriously?  Got a link?

I suppose we should expect no less.  There are no accidents.  I still remember taking a Virgin America flight with you from San Francisco (post 2008 Roshambo Winery Tournament) to DC.  I woke up at one point, looked over at your in-flight entertainment screen, and pointed to a pair of fists playing RPS.  In your excitement, you touched the screen, changing the channel and forever obscuring the context of said communication.  I remember you saying "So, you just woke up in time to see that?"  I promptly went back to sleep.

At this late stage in the game, considering the tenuous nature of the 2009 Internationals, you may wish to ask yourself whether the aforementioned event actually took place in consensual reality, or if it was merely the result of post-hypnotic suggestion.

I mean, you remember it, right?

WTF?! A story about chance? Leave it to the Australians to take us back to the stone ages of RPS theory.

Try as I did, I was unable to find a link.

It was either on one of those early morning current affairs shows or those late evening current affairs shows who, even themselves, don't believe their programs warrant recording for posterity.

The throw down was, if I remember correctly, a lead in to a story on a 50 million dollar lotto draw and I believe the inference was that you would have more chance of becoming World RPS Champion than you would have winning that Lotto draw.

So technically their claim is not untrue for those of us who frequent this place, but probably false regards selecting one random member of the human race and asking if they had ever, or were ever likely to, become World RPS Champion.

Master Roshambollah, I certainly remember incident in question, and more than a reasonable number of similar coincidences. I'm past questioning them. (Though I sometimes question whether my whole RPS career has taken place in a consensual reality)
