As captain of the Pro's I think it's time I put it straight. TGOTT is attempting to organise a showdown between real players and his mob. Apparently this will prove something. I prefer to never play people in their forum or on their terms. It's second level stuff. But TGOTT and his mates don't ever shut up. And that makes it a little different. TGOTT misses a few points. The most obvious is that if we don't like his rules then we won't be playing the fakes. (Good luck explaining that to Rolling Stone and Good Morning America)
Here is how it is.
1) As Captain I will choose the Pro's. (Unlike you, I know who is a pro and who isn't. (Want to see my video library?)
2) I will limit my selections to Pros who have made some effort to educate fake players. ( I will, in fact ,limit it to players who have won a fake tournament, not counting the wildcards) That will narrow it down to around ten or so.
3) Anna Kalvheim, while not technically a pro, will be considered by me for selection.
If you don't like our conditions, TGOTT, cry me a river. We will be busy throwing down anyway, against real players, and we don't really need this.
regards custardchuk

A Message has been sent to Anna to see if she has ever entered a contest. What ever she says will go down as the final say.If she does not reply I will conceide her as a Pro
as for the rest of the terms Custard chuk, I will agree.I only know the Pro's that compete in the series. I will drop the ranking rule for yourself bar the top ranked player. I will also say that any player who has ever competed in the World Championship is a Pro player, the rest will have your say. For the Joe's I will still continue the Ranking system I had placed to decide my team, bar the 2 wildcards I had placed.
As for the Fantasy RPS - I understand that there is a difference between throwing in real life and the facebook game, but at the same time I also feel that you can use the game for training as such, if you understand what I mean.I mean no offence also but most players on here do compete in the series as well. the only difference I see is that you cant psyche the player out over Facebook, which means that the Luck factor of the game is increased. I see the Facebook game as not only training for yourselves, but as in my case, a chance to promote the sport and gain new players to pro status and gives them a chance to see what it is like. Although without the beer and psyche. Proof of this has been shown as 2 former amateurs are now going to Toronto (Dave Dungan and Seth Gormley) and a couple of amateurs catching the name of some of the pros (Anna Kvalheim,Alan Giles,Mark Thomas, Sarah Dixon, Mark Tuden,Erik Westnes,Monika Hjelmas and in a few cases myself)
My own definition of a Pro is the same as in most sports, if you have competed in a Major event or contest in which a prize of some worth to rankings and/or monetary, or have the sport as your only source of income sees you as a pro player, thus why I said that any sanctioned event would count for this rule.As a UK national, I could see this differently as our sport set-ups are different (no offence)
Unfortunately, as I have not got the funds, will not be in Toronto this year, but I do plan on entering a European event if and when Time/Money allows, along with help from CustardChuk and Burley to run the UK Championship
and also the Proving point. I am trying to prove nothing, I just want to see where us Joe's stand against the pro's

Anna returned the message - she has never competed, thus will be part of the "joe's" set up.
Custardchuk, I require the 1st name of the Pro's team. My 1st Declared Joe wildcard is Sarah Dixon

New rules, already? Wonder what chuk wil say about that.
In any case, nice going Franklint, you were right that if one of us delayed giving our challenge URL to TGOTT it would irritate him and make him more likely to make mistakes as captain.
9pm Sunday is like 7am or so on Monday your time, Franklint. I suggest you wait till the last minute to submit your URL to him. There's no rush.

Not as much as trying to organise pitch inspections for my football team as their new Matchday Secretary..
Running the RPS World Series is Grade School work compared to that

Its all about personal satisfaction and being able to say I DID IT thats it, i would say 99 of BBers do not even have contracts, most pros do but a lot of them still need other forms of income to live, its a very expensive sport with very low income...unless you are a top 6 BBer in the world it will be hard to make a living of it...you will have to do Personal training, or other things...XXL

So, we took down the Joes in one fell swoop. It was an easy win, and they didn't stand a chance. We didn't lose any men until Heyes himself started playing, at which point he got a few cheap shots in and knocked some of our guys out. I suppose this makes him the best of the worst.
Our eventual team consisted of a great mix of playing styles and personality. We had: Me Martin Burley Frances Anne Ricketts Mark "D" Thomas (a guest appearance by Mark, who has so far only shown his skill in online fantasy RPS, and who we all think should throw down at some upcoming pro-league tourney) Russell Cohrs
During his team debrief, Captain Custardchuk basically spent the whole time complimenting me on my skill. "Franklint is the heart and soul of RPS, and gives me the daily will to live", he was quoted as saying.
For anyone who cares, here is how it all went down (any name that is not listed above is a Joe player): DAY 1 Sarah beat Martin Andy lost to Mark Seth beat Russell Anna Lost to Frances Andrew lost to Franklint
DAY 2 Sarah beat Mark Anna beat Martin Seth lost to Frances Andy lost to Franklint Andrew beat Russell
Day 3 Anna lost to Martin Sarah lost to Russell Andrew lost to Frances Seth lost to Franklint Andy beat Mark
Day 4 Anna killed by Mark Sarah lost to Martin Andy killed by Francis Andrew killed by Russell Seth killed by Franklint
Day 5 James beat Franklint James lost to Russell Sarah killed by Frances James killed Martin James killed Mark
Day 6 James lost to Frances James Killed Russell James beat Franklint
Day 7 James beat Frances James killed by Frances
STATS (Player wins-losses-kills) MVP - Frances Anne Ricketts 6-1-3 James Heyes 5-3-3 Franklint 4-2-1 Russell Cohrs 3-3-1 Mark "D" Thomas 2-3-1 Martin Burley 2-3-0 Sarah Dixon 2-3-0 Andy Mills 1-3-0 Andrew Lampman 1-3-0 Seth Gormley 1-3-0 Anna Kvalheim 1-3-0 Clayton Dwyer 0-0-0
The Joes have promised to rechallenge approximately one year from now, with new captains and teams, so we have until then to get the word out.
The after-tourney hot-tubbing session was great (although Martin ended up slightly more drunk than he would have liked...).
Cheers, Franklint
