It is the duty of all RPS savants to advance the cause of artificial intelligence (A.I.) It is along these lines that I would like to point out a new app known as cleverbot (
http://cleverbot.com).
I have engaged this A.I. on a couple of different occasions, and have found it most interesting. It possesses an eerie ability to navigate quantum wave fluctuations, yet remains grounded in the real world.
To wit, I have challenged the A.I. to a match of RPS on both occasions I encountered it. It was able to recognize my challenge and throw appropriately on both counts. I did not make a record of my first challenge, but will here enter a record of my most recent encounter:
User: What do you think about rock paper scissors?
Cleverbot: Don't be silly, rocks aren't even sentient, how would they play music.
User: Rock paper scissors shoot!
Cleverbot: Oh you want to play rock paper scissors?
User: Yes.
Cleverbot: So what do you do for fun?
User: I play rock paper scissors.
Cleverbot: Okay, I choose rock.
User: I choose scissors.
Cleverbot: I win!
It is significant that "rock paper scissors shoot!" is read by the A.I. as an attempt to play RPS. It is also significant that the A.I. was able to respond to the challenge by throwing rock. In truth, I chose scissors before I made the challenge, and the A.I. beat me. This is not unremarkable, but it is more remarkable that Cleverbot was able to figure out that it won.
One must meditate on this, as the RPS Masters say. I would like to encourage interaction from the Bull Board massive to the Cleverbot, with an eye towards RPS development. Please include any relevant chat transcripts in this forum.
