What is interesting about this image is the fact that it was originally designed to support the throw of Rock as one of a special three-part series promoting each of the three noble throws. Just days before the posters were set to print, division within the Society caused a hasty reversal and all World RPS Society promotional financing for the year was instead placed behind the throw of Scissors that was felt to be lagging in popularity at the time.

Detailed analysis of the image has proven that two fingers (to make the Scissors from a Rock) were hastily added to the fist. Also, to confirm the rush nature of this change, using simple x-ray technology, a faint "Rock" can be made out under the word "Scissors".
