SPRINGFIELD (AF) - Siao Maucau, often called the ``quiet hand'' who added both a stylistic flash and a touch of emotion to the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, has died. He was 83.
Macau died at 3:47 p.m. Thursday at his Springfield home following a battle with Arthritis. Longtime friend and opponet Tony "Three Throw" Mashuri told reporters late Thursday of Macau's demise. Macau's wife, Eva, and son, Scissi, 24, were with him.
Macua moved to Springfield from Beijing, China in 1937. He was a founding member of the Paper, Rock, Scissors game group, The Three Throws.
``He left this world in peace'' Eva said in a statement.
With the death of Macau, there remains only one surviving Three Throws member, Guido Castanza. John Watterhouse, the third member, was assasinated by a crazed fan in 1987.
''I am devistated,'' said Castanza. ''We have truly lost a genius of the game, and I have lost a good friend.''
