To the World RPS Society -

I must say that I am indescribably honored to have received this message as a captain of the Orchard Park High School Varsity Rock Paper Scissors team. As Stone Fox noted, the captains, along with the rest of the team, have worked incredibly hard in our school and community to make this dream a reality. We have raised awareness of competitive RPS throughout the high school; my 10 year old brother is talking to his teacher about hosting RPS tournaments in his elementary school. He has already taught most of the class how to play, and they are already honing their skills so that when they reach the high school level, we will have nutured super-human RPS players whose skills would be unmatched anywhere in the world.

I have also noticed that the board is becoming a great place for comradery and discussion. I'm currently attempting to archive the posts, because Geocities will only allow me to have 50. Believe me, I'd move to a different location if I could. The only problem is none of us have any web design skills other than WYSIWYG (if that's even a "skill"). Theoretically, I could teach myself Pagemaker, but then the problem of resources arises. The squad currently possesses $0. Our goal is to collect enough in contributions to buy uniforms within the next couple of months. I'm afraid that the webpage will have to wait a bit...

I do believe that one of our alumni will be landing in NJ. The class of 2002 valedictorian and RPS enthusiast Justin "Justman" Blesy has applied early decision to Princeton. We wish you the best of luck, Justman!

You have made an excellent section for best name - Quiet Storm is also up on my list. I will have to say though that my absolute favorite is M!ke "Former President Calvin Coolidge" Lovering. The shear genius and originality of FPCC has intrigued me since it was first utilized by M!ke.

We are currently working on a calendar of future RPS, including normal and Grand Slam tournaments. I will notify you of those as soon as we notify ourselves.

Thank you once again for your support and confidence of the OPHSVRPS team. We wish all of you the best of luck in future RPS endeavors.

Sincerely,

Michael "Iron Mic" Whitney
Captain, 2001-2001 OPHS VRPS
