Hey there, Arbiter:)

I know I'm new around here, but just wanted to 'jump in' and throw in my 'two cents worth: ) I've had a lot of experience arranging office parties before, so would love to offer my humble opinion.

First off, if you don't mind my asking, what was the process to elect you leader of the Christmas Party Planning Committe? I was wondering whether everyone got a chance to vote on that? I didn't see an internal email. Perhaps it's just my system...always screwing up.... Anyways, I wouldn't mind throwing my name in the pot for the next party planning committee head election, if it's not too much of an imposition.

Secondly, who decided to hold this party in the Conference Centre? It won't work. Drop by my office to discuss that one offline, ok?

Thirdly, I know the WRPSS office is mostly guys, but don't forget a lot of you bring dates to this party, and the style and theme needs to be more in tune with our needs. Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter themed office parties will not be repeated while I'm at this office.

Just my opinion, tee hee.

Let's chat,
Rose

: I meant to tack this onto my last message, but the memo slipped under my desk and I completely forgot about it.

: The Media Brigade usually uses the Conferece Center for an office Christmas party on the second Saturday before Christmas (the 15th this year). We've never opened it up to the rest of the Society before since other offices in the Society traditionally host Halloween or New Year festivities. However, in light of the tragedies the Society has suffered during the past few months, I've convinced the C-in-C that the Society needs another opportunity to gather together, build comeraderie and lift the spirits of the disheartened.

: Naturally, since it was my suggestion, the C-in-C dumped all the planning on my office. If we worked around the clock, we could probably pull it off, but we don't really want to do that, so we're asking for help. Anyone who wants to contribute, please speak up. I will point out that it's more fun than doing real work.

: I'm looking to make this a slightly more formal and dignified affair than the Halloween party, mostly for a change of pace. Of course, I won't turn down any volunteer simply because he or she has a different vision from mine. The main thing is for this to be fun.
