I think it's time for me, as a Captain, to step in here. This is not healthy for us to be debating as we are. I think it is wrong for there to be internal fighting like this. Everyone, including you, Stone Fox, has known that RPS has polarized the school. Either you love RPS, or you hold the belief that it is a cult. In these times of trouble, we must remember that we must tolerate all opinions, no matter how much we may disagree. In the immortal words of Voltaire, "I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." It was inevitable that we'd lose some members. It was a shame that we had to lose a member of the caliber of Matt Smallhands Yuhnke, an RPS'er that brought this team to fruition and was of great skill. We'll miss you, Matt. Hopefully we can resolve our differences an you can come back on the team.
Now I must turn my attention to Stone Fox. Molly, when you call us your "brothers and sisters" and urge us to bring Yuhnke back, you are making this no better than a cult, as Yuhnke noted. The absolute LAST thing we need is a witchhunt to gather up those who have lost contact with the magic of RPS. It's their own decision; let them go. When we force people into the organization, it won't be as effective. They must come on their own accord.
So, Stone Fox, let's not start RPS Witchhunts. Let's all be tolerant and mindful of others' feelings. Let's not turn ourselves into the organization that many, including Smallhands, see us as.
Smallhands, I hope that you can realize that we are not a cult. We'll gladly welcome you back if you wish.
That's all I have to say.
Defending the rights of all, regardless of RPS affiliation,
Michael Iron Mic Whitney
