Having thought of the good times, the good old days of RPS, I think now of the night Simpson, myself and a few other reprobates were invited by Hugh Heffner to the mansion after the 1976 US Invitational.
While many of you who have met Simpson would probably see him as an old bull too long in the lucerne I'm here to tell you Simpson (who ran by another nickname in those days) was considered the practical joker of the tour.
Perhaps some of the younger folk could ask Simpson about said visit.
When I last saw Hugh he said it was the fourth best night of his life (no small compliment)and he still asks about that tousle haired blonde bloke with the funny accent in the Easter Bunny suit.
I'm still laughing 23 years later.
