: Can someone please clarify the correct state for the at-rest hand?

This hotly-debated issue is absent from the current version of the Official World RPS Society rules and regulations. I know that there was a task force on the job, but I have never seen the official findings.

I have seen several uses even in the pro tournaments. I have listed them below in order of correctness (in my personal opinion):
- non-throwing hand relaxed at hip
- non-throwing hand forming a level or "catch" for the throwing hand
- non-throwing hand elbow at 90 degrees tucked into mid-section
- non-throwing hand in pocket of pants/jacket
- non-throwing hand engaged in irritating gesture (snapping, slapping leg, etc.)
- non-throwing hand waving madly in the air above head to distract opponent.

Likely there are several other methods of which I have not had the privledge of witnessing.
