I just heard a rumor on good authority that Nickelodeon will indeed be airing a youth RPS tournament (though not necessarily OPHS.) Interestingly enough, the tournament's Head Referee/Host will be none other than Steve Burns, host of the popular Blue's Clues. Steve has announced his impending departure from the children's show, in order to pursue a career as an professional RPS official. "I didn't want to turn into Sammy Scissors in front of America" he said, referring to a former RPS National Champ whose competitive skills eroded as he hosted the popular 50's childrens' show, "Think Three for You and Me."
Steve will be setting aside his familiar striped rugby shirt for the somber grey of a WRPSS official. I for one salute him for his resolve, and wish him all the best.
