: >>You question why we need growth?

: You Sir are NOT a "we".

Actually, the game was created by both Jim and myself, Paul. He was speaking on my behalf.

: >>Without consideration and ambition, without diversity and change the world would not develop.

: To us RPS is like the most perfect "beautiful and intelligent" woman (or man if you prefer). and as she ages she just becomes more beautiful to us. We do not seek to have her augmented to "improve" her. We love her for who she is unconditionally.

Even so, if you found another woman who was even more alluring and brilliant than that other woman first, why on earth go for the second?

: >>If there was no civil war then there would be no blood transfusions and so on.

: by that logic... no WWII there would be no atomic bomb.

In every war there are good and many more bad points. Of course, there is always the need to defeat your opponents. If you can do that by having healthier men, these medicinal solutions will work in peace time. Think how many billions of people have lived because of blood transfusions or because of penicillin. Also, the 'atomic bombs' have kept the amount of large scale warfare rather limited. OK, so you could wipe out millions of people, but everyone has these weapons, and you yourself would die. War can bring about peace.

: >>>Could the English language improve? Isn't Catholicism an outdated ideology ala liberalism once was? Haven't DVDs taken over from videos etc. Do people play with sticks or on a Playstation 2?

: Depends upon your perspective. If I was with my dog I am sure that we would both have a much better time with that outdated stick

You are saying you are dogs, then, because you 'stick' to the old ways.

: >>>Offer people progress and they will yearn for it, do not deny the masses because of your assumptions.

: Are breast implants "progress"? I love our game for what it is and would never ask it to change in order to improve or progress.

Breast implants *are* progress. They are not at all necessary, sometimes even wanted, but masses still yearn for them. You also say that you would never want the game to improve. Look at other games: Baldur's Gate was brilliant; Baldur's Gate 2 was even better. Some of the rules had changed, and it was only a small minority that were upset. They were only one sect of 'purists'.

: But perhaps the most important point to make to you is this: "Homotoboggan" is perhaps the stupidest name ever for a throw, and that alone is reason enough not to want ot play your game.

Point taken. Homotoboggan is a stupid name. The game was originally created for Jim and myself, and homotoboggan was a word he often used in Word Disassociation. It made sense to use it, because we found it funny, and we only wanted to entertain ourselves. When I produced the article Immature Games 2, it was only to let other people see what we did, for humorous purposes.

However, it does not take away the fact that TFE is a much more advanced and tactical game than RPS. It is a continuation of an amazing game that has stretched across the ages. I love RPS more than perhaps you give credit for. I still play it occasionally, but it is for sentimental reasons only. It was good, better than good. And TFE is better still.

TFE could also be taken as theory. If someone could perhaps suggest a replacement for homotoboggan, then feel free. Some constructive criticism would be better than just denial.
