To put an end to any controversy, this weekâs newsletter will address the great Dynamite controversy, and hopefully put an end to any confusion. We will explore the legal situations in which Dynamite can be employed and its impact.
The first thing to remember is that Dynamite is generally used only in gambling situations, and is not sanctioned by the IRPSCL or any other official tournament league. This has done nothing to dampen the widespread popularity of Dynamite in the Atlantic City area and throughout Nevada in high profile, big money games.
Use of Dynamite, like any other rule variation, must be understood and agreed upon by each competitor prior to play. Prior to the opening throw, a predetermined number of potential Dynamite throws will be established. Each player is allowed this number of Dynamite throws in the series (match.) Rarely are players allowed more than one Dynamite throw in a given series, but cases of two or more Dynamite throws being allowed have been known to exist in matches requiring a large number (usually 20 or more) of throws.
The simple rule for rank structure is that Dynamite beats anything, with the exception of another Dynamite, which results in the normal push.
