I think it's more appropriate to ask if *you* are pulling our leg. "Mine is Paper," indeed! I remember when Ramona Morris gave Roshambo World magazine an interview right before the 1996 North American Open and declared that she was planning to switch to a modified Budapest closer with heavy emphasis on rock. Her opponents fell for it like a ton of bricks and she easily skated into the final round using a scissor-intensive blitzkrieg endgame that caught them flat-footed.

If you are indeed planting a subtle red herring for your prospective opponents, I congratulate you; you appear to have a natural instinct for the game that will serve you well. I suggest you contact your local coordinating committee for information on classes and tournaments in your area (I think Gordon Forrest is still in charge in Calgary, but my information may be out of date). Good luck to you!

: After reading these posts and such things, I am having problems coming to term with the idea of pro Paper, Rock, Scissors existing.
: I can imagine that there are hotly argued debates as to the benefits of opening moves [mine is Paper BTW :)]
: but pro leagues?! surely you're pulling my leg! I enjoy the game and the mental quickness it requires, but as I have never seen it I cannot believe it.

: Forgive me for being a Doubting Thomas, but if there are any willing members of the RPS society in my area (ve6 = AB, Canada) then I would be delighted to hear from you.

: TYVM. Neil.
: Why Paper? Why Not?
