Now, this is what I call a coincidence. I stumbled across this page for the first time, (to check out what my beloved brother is doing nowadays,) and discover that I am actually mentioned in one of the most recent posts.

: Nor, I'm afraid, shall I. He was always the bad seed of our family. I do still see him from time to time, whenever he blows into town, needing a place to crash or is short on cash. He never had any interest in RPS, though the discipline would have done him good.

So let me make one or two things clear. It seems you are forgetting our matches from our childhood. I have a memory of a ten year old boy weeping in the lap of his mother, after loosing the 20th consecutive match against his older brother. (Five minutes - but still older.) However, when I turned 14, I realized that RPS is a child's game, so I quit playing and got a life. But I definitely had a greater talent than you had. It still amuses me that you have gotten some kind of big 'position' in the world of RPS.

Perhaps I was the bad seed in our family. I never won the regional spelling bee, (but I had to live with being the brother to the one who did.) I didn't even obtain a Ph.D. in some obscure field noone had ever heard of. On the other hand, I never freaked out, travelling to some distant hard-to-pronounce country in the far east surviving only on beans, and teaching people about 'the true trinity of all things' or whatever it was. Not even when our parents died in that tragic accident, did you bother to show up.

Well, I hope you don't take it I'm bitter or anything. I live my own life, just as you live yours. Let's leave it at that, and I hope I'll meet you in aunt Barbara and uncle John's wedding anniversary. (Fifty years - and still in love. I don't think any of us two has made it more than eighteen months, so I guess we're not that different.)

BTW, custardchuk. Sorry to hear about Trixie - she was HOT.

Randolph
