: I stumbled across this page for the first time, (to check out what my beloved brother is doing nowadays,)

I guess using the advanced technology known as the "phone call" is beyond you...no great change there.

: I have a memory of a ten year old boy weeping in the lap of his mother, after loosing the 20th consecutive match against his older brother.

Oh yes, let's recall those games, shall we? I had seen Randolph making the hand gestures and begged him to teach me to play the game. The "rules" he related to me were typical for an older sibling: "Rock beats scissors. No, YOUR rock is beaten BY scissors. Is it Tuesday? On Tuesdays people throwing 2 scissors in a row forfeit the next throw. Your paper had a hole in it." and the like. It's a wonder I ever got a grasp of the game at all, given such a start.

:when I turned 14, I realized that RPS is a child's game, so I quit playing and got a life. But I definitely had a greater talent than you had. It still amuses me that you have gotten some kind of big 'position' in the world of RPS.

Well, I haven't *officially* announced my title (still waiting for the membership committee), but let me assure you, it has nothing to do with a "big position" and everything to do with responsibility and accountability, two words that have never meant that much to you. I suppose I'm still resentful over your "free-spirited" lifestyle (and the fact that you tended to make off -and out- with a succession of my early love interests.) While I was studying the forms leading to my Master status, going to school, and working, you were off galavanting to Alaska or Costa Rica or some such place, taking only your guitar, and leaving only a trail of broken hearts, women, and families. (I will admit to your claim of having talent at RPS, but as with most things in your life, you've lacked the discipline to go beyond "not bad for a beginner." )

: Well, I hope you don't take it I'm bitter or anything. I live my own life, just as you live yours. Let's leave it at that, and I hope I'll meet you in aunt Barbara and uncle John's wedding anniversary. (Fifty years - and still in love. I don't think any of us two has made it more than eighteen months, so I guess we're not that different.)

*sigh* I suppose blood is thicker than water, and though you're a constant source of trouble, you ARE my brother, after all. I wouldn't miss John and Barb's anniversary for the world. J+B always lay out a FAT spread, and I haven't eaten with them for about five years now.
As always, if you need any help with a bus ticket, let me know. (btw, SHAME on you for hooking up with Trixie, then leaving me to take the fall, and for heisting Chuk's collection of RPS mags. What were you thinking?) Guess you'll see me there in June...unless I see you first, sucka.
