The Australian RPS Research, Development and Ethics committee recently allocated AD$18000.00 (US $4500) towards an study of win/loss ratios of skilled Rps players throws, compared to estabilished ratios.
The methodology was to throw ten of eithier rock, paper or scissors against a random opponent(ie read novice)ten times.
We then added the four standard facial expressions used in Research, (1- blank, 2-aggressive, 3-passive
4-I know what you're going to throw).
As expected, Rock10 showed at 5.1, Scissors10 showed at 5.0 and Paper10 at 4.9. in almost all cases, allowing for statistical anomolies.
Surprisingly two strategies showed exceptional win ratios and one showed an exceptional loss ratio.
Paper10 with a Facial 2 came in at 6.3 and Paper10 with a Facial 4 came in at an incredible 7.6 (including 4 sweeps).
On the down side, Rock10 with a Facial 2 showed at 4.1.
Whilst the Rock10 result is obvious ,we at RPS Australia are surprised by the Paper10 results.
