First, forgiveness for the double posting earlier...I am still somewhat unused to this method of communication...give me good old paper any day!
Many of you may be too young to remember the heady days of the late 80's and early 90's, the atmosphere of change, and the attitude of the purge. Growing up in the 70's and 80's, I was at the time proclaimed the "Bobby Fischer" of the rps world. Before reaching the legal age to begin my professional career, I became disillusioned with the commercial attitude that at the time was remaking the rps world. I went from city to city, playing unsanctioned games against all the top players-and never losing a series! Certain parties within the rps heirarchy demanded that I pay my dues or cease playing. It wasn't about the fee; I followed a higher path. This led to some nasty clashes between my "students" and the established heirarchy and some nastier accusations (diffused later.) The time had come to leave the rps world entirely, though it pained me to do so. Today the attitude is much different, hence my return. However, I do not come to stoop and beg for admission. My role is more one of guidance. Keep in mind, I hold no ill will towards any member of the world rps society; they follow the love I have known since childhood. The institutions have changed, as have I. In my next missal, I will detail some of the accusations leveled against me.
