By the way, as a point of interest, can anyone tell me if it's true that the World Series is so called because it was originally developed/sponsored by the now long-gone 'The World' newspaper. Certainly sounds plausible. And it's certainly what I've been telling people who cite the name as an example of American arrogance over the years. Interested to hear if Iāve just made it up though.
