Dear Master Roshambollah,
Here, I believe, is the answer to your brain teaser.
Please let me know if this is correct. Maybe it will save you a bit of typing.
Arbiter is the winner of the Three Way, by use of "The Bureaucrat" Triple Gambit.
As Custardchuk began the match with a throw of Rock, then he and yourself used the copycat strategy in round 2, with your Rock beating his Scissors. Thus, Custardchuk's Scissors in round 2 also would have beat Arbiter's throw of Paper in round 1.
Thus, in round 3, yourself and Custardchuk both threw Rock, as you threw no Paper in the match, and a throw of Scissors would have been contrary to the facts that were already known about the match. The same being said for someone other than Arbiter's use of the Triple Gambit.
Therefore, each opponent was tied at 1-1 at the end of two rounds, but Arbiter claimed victory when you and Custardchuk tied with a throw of Rock in the last round.
Now...do I get some sort of collectable cufflinks for this?
Sincerely,
C. Urbanus
"Paper is the answer, should Rock be the question"
: Roshambollah, Custardchuk and Arbiter sit down to play some Three Way. Each makes three throws. The following observations are noted during play:
: Roshambollah did not throw any Paper.
: One player used a Trible Gambit.
: Roshambollah beat Custardchuk in Round 2.
: In Round 3, two players used the same throw.
: In Round 2, two players used a copycat strategy against each other, using the same throw the other had thrown in Round 1.
: Custardchuk led with Rock.
: Arbiter threw paper in Round 3.
: Custardchuk's second throw would have beat Arbiter's first throw.
: Given that information, who won the Three Way Match?
