The point is moot. The latest edition of the Offical Rules of the WRPSS finally laid to rest (and none too soon) prospects for the use of ANY non-rock, -paper, or -scissors throw. This would include your "Erosion".

Aha! It seems that you are attempting to bring back some of the old "extraneous" throws through the back door, as it were. All of those elements have been the subject of possibile inclusion on this board at some point or other. Fire, for instance, was symbolized as all five fingers, pointing in the air and waving about. There have been similar suggestions for wind and rain. AS A MATTER OF FACT... I seem to remember someone by the name of Matt (or Mark or something like that) leading just such a debate before the Rules Committee just prior to ratification of the existing Rules. If your efforts were not successful then, why would they be now? I will here quote from musician James Taylor, from a song he performed at the "WRPSS Official Throws Benefit, Concert, and Bake Sale":

"Oh, I've seen Fire, and I've seen Rain
I've seen Lizard, Spock and Well for days on end
I've seen Dynamite, but for me it's not Janken
But I'll only throw rock, paper, scissors, again (and again)"

On the other hand, I take a moderate approach to this subject, in my opinion that no harm can come of the dissection of such spurious throws as "Erosion" by the Theoretical Throws Committee. Gotta give the eggheads SOMETHING to do. The groundbreaking work they do on such throws does indeed cast new light on the Classic Trinity. But that is the only ethical use for such research.

I hope I have not come across as intolerant, or baiting, but I feel that this ground has been covered before. Let the number-crunchers and statistical performance gurus at TTC have their way with non-traditional throws. But let the Three Noble Throws remain unviolated and unchanged.

Do it for the children.
